“I am a man of faith. I enjoy helping any chance I get and am always looking for other ways to assist. Seeing firsthand what Winners Foundation does is really inspiring to me. When approached with the opportunity to be part of the board, I found that it was the perfect moment for me to continue to help people on a different level. By being with an organization like Winners Foundation, who has helped so many people throughout the years, and continues to do so, I am now able to be part of a new journey, which is an honor for me.”

“I am grateful for the opportunity to serve on the Board of Directors of Winners Foundation. This organization has had a meaningful impact on my life, and it is an honor to now support the mission that has supported so many others.
Through my own journey, I have seen how powerful it is when someone receives steady guidance, compassion, and a path forward. Winners Foundation provides that every day for individuals and families.
What excites me most about joining the board is the chance to help strengthen and expand this work. I am eager to support the team and contribute to an organization that brings hope, recovery, and reassurance to people navigating difficult moments.
I am proud to be part of this mission and look forward to serving our community!”

“It is truly an honor to serve on the Winners Foundation Board. I don’t know of another group that has such a deep personal impact on the lives of our racetrack family. The racetrack is so much more than just a livelihood to those who work there. It is a community built on camaraderie like no other, long hours, selfless people and the beautiful horses that bring us together. The support provided by the Winners Foundation brings hope to so many who have nowhere else to turn. Providing guidance and kindness to anyone who is struggling is invaluable and empowering. I am proud to be a part of that and grateful for the opportunity to serve my friends and family.”
Celebrating Gino's 90th
We are fortunate to have so many who believe in our mission. When our founder, Lou Rowan, began the Winners Foundation in 1984, he called upon three other prominent horsemen – Herman Smith Jr., Joe McAnally, and Gino Roncelli. After Lou Rowan passed away, they continued his vision. Gino Roncelli, our president, is the last of the original founders who is still with us, and he not only continues to believe in the Winners Foundation mission but has been by our side these last 40 years.
Upon turning 90 years old, Mr. Roncelli asked only for one gift: donations to our organization. We are extremely fortunate to have so many who not only care about Gino but also share his passion. With the donations made for his birthday, he has chosen to purchase a golf cart for Winners Foundation, which will be a tremendous help for us on the backsides at Santa Anita and Del Mar.
It is because of the support of so many that we have been able to continue with our tasks, helping others and finding new and modern methods to reach all of those who seek help.
